AMCI and Automated Control Engineering Group (ACE) realise the need for extreme-duty sensor feedback in harsh industrial environments, and in response, provide a family of stainless steel resolver transducers.
Options include 303 or 304 stainless steel housing and shaft, and a variety of mounting styles. The IP67 rated product line comes standard with either a 1/4", 3/8”, or 5/8” stainless steel shaft and an oversized double row sealed bearing. The input shaft in each of these stainless steel resolvers extends through the internal core of the resolver rotor windings. This one-piece rotor design eliminates internal coupling components, increases shaft strength and maximizes reliability.
Durability was the highest priority when designing AMCI’s stainless steel resolver transducer family. The optional 5/8” stainless steel shaft boasts exceptional shaft loading, and the high temperature rating up to 150°C (302°F) provides reliability where most sensors fail. Mechanically connected to the shaft of the controlled machine, these transducers are subject to severe conditions such as vibration, mechanical shock and possibly contaminates such as coolants, caustic vapors and salt water mist. For food and beverage applications where sanitizing wash downs are required, the stainless steel housing and robust IP67 rating will withstand all hose spray and cleaning solutions.
High performance applications like those found in paper factories, steel mills, ship loading, and mining applications are the inspiration for these extreme-duty rotary sensors. AMCI also considered food grade requirements when designing these resolvers. The non-porous nature of stainless steel will not support growth of mold, mildew, or bacteria. This provides a hygienic, easy to clean solution for customers manufacturing, processing, or packaging food.
