Kiepe SEG Belt Conveyor-Pull Rope Switch

Automated Control Engineering and Kiepe introduce the SEG pull rope emergency stop switches. These emergency stop systems meet the requirements of international safety standards to ensure safety at work and to prevent damage of the machine (BGI 710).

With the SEG type pull rope switch, the pull rope is symmetrically tensioned on both sides of the red tripping lever and thus a complete compensation of the rope forces at the tripping lever is achieved. For this reason, double-sided pull rope switches of the SEG design are especially suited for outdoor use with large changes of the ambient temperature (summer – winter) of up to 60°C and more.
  • Suited for controls and facilities according to EN 60204
  • Cast iron enclosure, EN-GJL-200
  • Mounting 2 oblong holes for M10 screws
  • Admissible ambient temperature: –25°C … +70°C
  • IP67 protection class
  • Rated operating voltage Ue: AC 240 V, DC 250 V
  • Conventional thermal current Ith: 16 A

AMCI's SD17040C Compact, Powerful Stepper Drive Beats Expectations

Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E.) and AMCI introduce a space saving, powerful, 170V bus, 4.0 Amp microstepping driver. Standard features include switch selectable microstep resolutions, automatic idle current reduction, anti-resonance, short circuit protection, and over temperature circuitry. No additional power supply is required, reducing overall costs, as the SD17040C is an AC line-powered drive. The SD17040C can drive 4, 6, or 8 lead step motors, Nema sizes 23-42.

The SD17040C is designed to withstand demanding applications, with board-level components rated to 105°C. With panel or side mounting options, the SD17040C can be installed into tight spaces without supplemental fans or cooling aids. Thermal issues are no concern with this compact drive. The use of DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology in combination with high quality transistors has enabled AMCI to customize the drive’s performance for most applications, while also reducing space within the unit. The drive’s exceptional power combined with anti-resonance circuitry delivers the smoothest, most reliable performance possible in a stepper motor system.

  • Compact Size (2.1”W x 4.0”D x 6.2”H)
  • 170V Bus, AC Line-Powered (No Additional Power Supply Required)
  • Switch Selectable Motor Current, 1.0-4.0 Amps
  • (16) Switch Selectable Microstep Resolutions, up to 50,800 steps/rev.
  • Selectable Self-Test Feature
  • Interlock Safety Feature and Short Circuit Protection
  • Automatic Idle Current Reduction, Fully Programmable
  • Anti-Resonance

ASM Stainless Steel Tape Position Sensor

Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E.) and ASM launch the POSITAPE® family of stainless steel tape position sensors with the WB10ZG series. The series offers a 2000 mm measurement range in a compact 50 x 50 x 85 mm. housing.

The WB10ZG sensor consists of a specially produced stainless steel tape that is taken up onto a precision machined drum. With its high degree of flexibility, the steel tape offers a very high lifetime and is well suited in applications where pulleys are required due to space constraints that prevent the direct inline measurement. In areas where icing can occur, the flat, smooth surface of the tape also allows for the quick removal of ice accumulation. The standard tape brush continuously wipes the tape surface to remove debris.

This position transducer offers an enclosure rating of IP65 (IP67 with mating connector) and is available with 0.5-4.5V, 0.5-10V and 4-20 mA analog outputs or SSI, CANopen & CAN SAE J1939 digital outputs. The output linearity is +/- 0.05% full scale over the 2m. measurement range.

At the heart of this position sensor is a magnetic encoder that translates the linear motion in an electrical signal. A M12 connector provides for a quick electrical connection to be made during installation.

• Resistant to 100g/11ms, 100 shocks and 20g 10Hz-2kHz, 10 cycles vibration
• Compact, rugged housing
• Long-life stainless steel tape
• Suitable for use in harsh environments and tight locations
