NR25 series encoders - Modbus TCP/IP

Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E) and AMCI announce the newest EtherNet-based communications protocol supported by the robust NR25 series encoders - Modbus TCP/IP. These heavy duty rotary sensors provide an overall measuring range of 16 bits (single-turn resolution) plus 14 bits (number of revolutions), or 30 bits total. With both single-turn and multi-turn versions available, AMCI’s Modbus TCP/IP encoders are ready for any application.

The NR25 encoder is resolver based, meaning that it is designed to provide absolute position feedback without glass discs or sensitive LED components; enabling it to withstand high levels of shock and vibration. The IP67 rated package is the solution for single-turn and multi-turn position applications requiring protection from dust and water ingress. Stainless steel versions are also available for food grade and marine environments.

AMCI NR25 Series encoders are now available with both Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP connectivity. Profibus connectivity will be added to the NR25 series later this year.

ASM WS7.5 Position Sensor

The WS7.5 position sensor uses precision potentiometer sensing devices to gain accurate and reliable measuring results. The product is built with a combination of aluminum and stainless steel components with a stainless steel cable.

Vent-captor - Insertion type Air Flow Meter for gaseous media

Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E.) and Weber introduce the vent-captor 3202.30- air flow meter. The 3202.30- is a versatile sensor that can be used for all measurement and control applications.

The small, self-contained vent-captor 3202.30 is completely epoxy resin encapsulated and operates with high accuracy and repeatability even under changing working conditions. The vent-captor can be integrated into measurement and control systems without additional component parts. For applications exposed to pressure conditions, the vent captor type 3205.30 with a stainless steel casing is available.

The newly developed operating principle for the measurement of air flow, based on the calorimetric principle, provides a wide measuring range.

• Compact Air Flow Meter with analog current output 4 - 20 mA
• Types available with a wide flow range from 0-5 m/s up to 0-30 m/s
• Range for each type is adjustable to 20% of the maximum flow value
