The 6170+ incorporates advanced tuning algorithms, with selectable pre-tune and self-tuning for easy setup. The self-tune also reduces output activity to an absolute minimum without compromising control quality, thereby reducing wear and tear on mechanical components such as valves, contactors and relays

West’s Plug and Play technology allows the user the ability to easily add to the 6170+ controller’s features including communication by simply installing additional plug-in boards. Inputs, Outputs, Alarms, and Communications are all field upgradeable.

The new rules for efficiency: ProVU - One controller, two control loops.

Automated Control Engineering (A.C.E.) and WEST introduce a new economic two-in-one concept, the new generation of the ProVU temperature and industrial controller. The controller now comes with extended functionality; with two independent control loops in one unit, making the ProVU a particularly efficient solution for industrial processes.

The ProVU temperature and industrial controller features a versatile programmer with 2 profiles, enabling 64 different programs with 255 segments to be stored in the unit. Examples of application areas for the compact controller are climatic chambers, autoclaves, and industrial furnaces.

Thanks to the additional control loops and the comprehensive control & monitoring functions, fewer individual controllers will be required for demanding applications. In this way, the ProVU cuts hardware and installation costs.

WEST eCAL 1/8 DIN Controller - Functional, cost-effective, and even more compact

WEST and Automated Control Engineering Group (A.C.E.) announce the extension of the eCAL controller range. The newest addition to the range is a powerful standard controller in the 1/8 DIN (98 x 48 mm) format.

The new eCAL controller shows its strength as a cost-effective and compact solution with improved aesthetic design, a reduced behind panel depth of 70mm and capability expected from higher end products. This includes a universal input for all sensor types allowing flexible utilisation, 2 or 3 outputs (including relay, SSR driver, linear DC and RS485), full PID control and a simple user interface with easy to read LED display consisting of 4 digits upper and lower, 4 button membrane keypad including function button that can be configured for auto/manual, tuning or profiler control and 3 output status LEDs.

Typical application areas for eCAL are smaller laboratory and industrial furnaces, incubators, and sterilizers.

The KS 98-1 Engineering package – all-in-one
